One Be Lo - Born and Raised

“Born and Raised,” the second single from The R.E.B.I.R.T.H., is One Be Lo’s reflection on his busy life, and the positive and negative implications that have come from his situation. He deals with the themes of growing up and the issues affecting his hometown of Pontiac, Michigan (and the struggling auto industry found there). The production is a mesmerizing smattering of sounds that underlie the track: chopping up and mixing together interesting and subtle electronic flourishes along with a female vocal melody that repeats itself throughout the track. One Be Lo’s free-spirited rapping style is the perfect accompaniment to the organically composed, psychedelic nature of the track. The R.E.B.I.R.T.H., will be in stores on 2/19.

KOCH EXPANDS URBAN ROSTER WITH FAT BEATS

Under this new agreement, KOCH is the exclusive physical and digital distributor of the label’s catalog and forthcoming releases in North America.

The R.E.B.I.R.T.H., (Real Emcees Bring Intelligent Rhymes to Hip-Hop) is the end product of growth and the obstacles he’s overcome since the release of his last album, S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M., which sold over 22,000 units in 2005.
