Akrobatik - Absolute ValueAkrobatik, Boston mainstay and one-third of critically acclaimed hip-hop collective The Perceptionists, is set to release his new album Absolute Value on Fat Beats Records on February 19th, 2008.

Absolute Value is the long awaited follow-up to 2003’s Balance, which established Akrobatik as an essential part of the Boston hip-hop scene. In 2005, Akrobatik translated his regional acclaim into national success as part of The Perceptionists. Their DefJux release, Black Dialogue, was acclaimed for its resounding criticisms of bandwagon pop culture and the Bush regime and became the only indie-rap project to register on Rolling Stone’s Top 50 Records of the Year list. Akrobatik’s success then led to a recording contract with Fat Beats Records, who will be releasing Absolute Value. (more…)
